Introducing extra-ordinary horses... to extra-ordinary people

'Jazz'

Subject: Jazz (the Horse, not the music)

Dear Devanee and Buddy,
After many years away from the horse scene, I decided it was time to “get back in the saddle”. Over time, I had drawn up a mental wish list for my next horse – it was not so much about looks (although I’ve always had a fondness for Quarter Horses) as it was about temperament and training.

I had a wish list for me, too – what was I going to do once I bought the horse? (I wanted to do more that just saddle up and ride.) Then, we came across Parelli and, when my wife, Liz, completed her first half-day clinic with Don Halladay in the fall of 2006, we both became convinced that “Natural Horsemanship” was what we had been looking for.

When we discovered your website in December 2006, our excitement grew as we looked at all the horses and, when we saw the sweet looks of “Jazz”, and read the caption “…gregarious with personality to spare”, I dared to dream that someday he could become my Partner.

It was with great excitement that my family and I made the trek across Canada to meet Jazz (and the two of you, of course!) and, after a day at Cardinal Ranch, we took the first step in our new journey, and purchased Jazz. Shortly after Jazz arrived at our stable, in April 2007, Liz and I participated in a three-day Level-1 Parelli clinic with Don Halladay. Since then, my bond with Jazz has continued to grow and he has shown himself to be a strong, confident, calm, willing, thinking Partner and a shining example of the breeding and training that occurs at Cardinal Ranch.

Each time I play with Jazz, I am amazed at the results that can be achieved, and the relationship that can develop between Human and Horse, through Natural Horsemanship. Jazz’s nature and personality are, without doubt, a tribute to the way that horses are raised at Cardinal Ranch. Without hesitation, we would purchase another horse from you, and we would highly recommend Cardinal Ranch to anyone looking for an excellent horse.

Thank you again for your advice, your kindness, and, most of all, for allowing Jazz to become part of our family.

Sincerely,

John Ingold
