Guitar is such a character! He is still one of Buddy's main mounts., they are looking better than ever and even did some roping at our first real branding. You can't beat these two in the looks department. Guitar is even more gorgeous this year with his color darkening to a darker gold.
He was our ‘most improved player’ in his 2009 season at Cardinal Ranch. He and Buddy Cardinal cruised through some of Don Halladay’s Level 3 Parelli Clinics as well as lots of trails and rides up the Raush Valley.
When Guitar arrived at Cardinal Ranch he seemed pretty familiar to us. He is a half brother to Buddy’s young stallion, ‘CR Gold Streak’, and you can sure see a resemblance. Guitar could be the ‘poster horse’ for Left Brained Extrovert. He is too cool and is full of confidence and play drive. One of the nicest things about him is that he really wants to be with you. This is a horse that already knows about ‘putting the relationship’ first.
Guitar’s foundation has been building with lots of arena riding, but he really shines when you get him out and about. He is confident and outgoing on trails, and seems to enjoy the variety of working cattle, roping and whatever else comes up.

Buddy gets to know his new horse 'Guitar'

You really appreciate the great character of this horse when you put a kid on him and add white water and old wooden bridges. JD can't resist cantering Guitar off on his own and joining the group later. We can see that the confidence of Guitar's future partner is going to soar.
